How do i get a good initial mix on fruity loops 9?

I'm recording guitar and programming drums, but the drums are way too
quiet. I have the kick, snare, and crash in different channels on the
mixer but i can't seem to get them level with the guitar. Also anyhelp
with editing the guitar would be helpful as it's a pain to press
record and play on time. I can play to the drums but need to chop off
that first little piece of the soundwave. I'm coming in a little late
and need to edit accordingly. thanks.
